Provider and scope
Karta is provided by Northframe s.r.o., IČO 246 03 830, with registered office at Dejvická 189/7, Dejvice, 160 00 Praha 6, Czech Republic, registered in the Commercial Register maintained by the Municipal Court in Prague, section C, file 443855 (“Northframe”, “we”, “us”).
These terms govern your use of karta.golf and the Karta iPhone application. By using the applicable service, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use it.
Availability and changes
Karta is available through Apple’s App Store in supported regions. Availability, compatibility, pricing, screenshots and feature descriptions may vary by country, device and app version. Website materials are not a promise that every discussed feature will remain available in every version.
We may improve, change, suspend or discontinue part of Karta where reasonably necessary. We will not reduce any mandatory rights you have under applicable law.
Licence
Subject to these terms, Northframe grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use Karta on Apple devices you own or control for personal or internal use. You may not sell, sublicense, distribute, copy beyond lawful backup, reverse engineer, interfere with, or create a competing service from Karta except where applicable law expressly allows it.
If you obtain Karta through Apple’s App Store, Apple’s applicable App Store terms and Standard End User License Agreement also apply unless App Store Connect presents a different licence. Where platform terms validly control distribution or billing, those platform terms prevail for that subject.
Your scores and local data
Karta is local-first. You are responsible for entering and reviewing scores, course details and other information. You remain responsible for device backups and for protecting access to your iPhone. Deleting local data or removing the app may be irreversible.
Karta’s totals, trends and summaries are informational. They are not an official handicap calculation, certified tournament record, rules decision or substitute for a club, competition organiser or authorised handicap service.
Course information and location
Course suggestions and map results may come from Apple MapKit, local reference data, or information entered by users. Names, pars, layouts, coordinates, availability and other details may be incomplete, outdated or inaccurate. Check important information with the golf course or organiser.
Karta is not a navigation, weather, emergency or personal-safety service. Remain aware of the course, local rules, weather and other players, and follow instructions from the venue and emergency authorities.
Photos, share cards and your content
You keep your rights in photos, names and other content you use with Karta. You are responsible for having permission to use and share that content and for the destination you choose. Do not use Karta to create or share unlawful, infringing, deceptive, abusive or privacy-invasive material.
Creating a share card on your device does not transfer ownership of your underlying photo or score data to Northframe. Karta branding, templates, software and original design elements remain owned by Northframe or its licensors.
Acceptable use
You must not:
- use Karta unlawfully or to violate another person’s rights;
- attempt to bypass security, disrupt the service, introduce malicious code or gain unauthorised access;
- misrepresent an unofficial scorecard as a certified handicap or tournament record;
- remove ownership notices or use Karta’s marks in a way that suggests endorsement; or
- use automated extraction or reproduction to build a substitute product, except as permitted by mandatory law.
Third-party services
Karta may interact with services operated by others, including Apple, MapKit, Photos, the iOS share sheet and destinations you choose. Those services are governed by their own terms and privacy notices. Northframe is not responsible for a third-party service to the extent permitted by law, but nothing here limits responsibility that cannot lawfully be excluded.
Intellectual property
Karta, karta.golf, the software, visual system, text, templates, graphics and other original materials are protected by intellectual-property laws. Except for the limited licence above, no rights are transferred to you. Third-party names and marks belong to their respective owners.
Warranty and liability
We provide Karta with reasonable care and skill. To the extent permitted by law, we do not guarantee uninterrupted availability, error-free operation, or the accuracy of course and user-entered information. You should keep independent records where loss of a score would matter to you.
To the extent permitted by law, Northframe is not liable for indirect or consequential losses, loss of opportunity, or loss caused by inaccurate user input, third-party services, device failure or use contrary to these terms. Nothing in these terms excludes liability for intent, gross negligence, injury, mandatory product liability, or any consumer right that cannot lawfully be limited.
Purchases and consumer rights
Karta does not currently sell a service through this website. If paid features are introduced, the price, billing period, renewal, cancellation and any additional terms will be shown before purchase. App Store purchases and refunds are also subject to Apple’s applicable rules. Nothing in these terms removes statutory consumer rights.
Suspension and termination
You may stop using Karta at any time. We may restrict access where reasonably necessary to protect Karta, comply with law, address misuse or enforce these terms. Provisions that by their nature should continue—including ownership, disclaimers and liability limits— survive termination.
Law and disputes
These terms are governed by Czech law, without depriving a consumer habitually resident elsewhere of mandatory protections provided by the law of their country. Czech courts have jurisdiction unless mandatory law provides otherwise.
If you are a consumer, you may seek out-of-court dispute resolution through the Czech Trade Inspection Authority, Štěpánská 44, 110 00 Praha 1, coi.gov.cz. Please contact us first so we can try to resolve the matter directly.
Changes and contact
We may update these terms to reflect product, legal or operational changes. The revised version will be published here with a new effective date. Material changes affecting an available app may also be communicated in the app or through the relevant store where appropriate.
